Below is information for the ROGERS
safety training class session.


ALL MINNESOTANS BORN AFTER DEC. 31, 1976, MUST HAVE A SAFETY CERTIFICATE TO OPERATE A SNOWMOBILE IN THE STATE!

If you have a driver’s license this certification will be indicated on your license. Nonresidents certified in snowmobile safety training in another state or Canada will be recognized in Minnesota.

NORTHWEST TRAILS YOUTH SNOWMOBILE SAFETY TRAINING: REGISTRATION OPEN UNTIL NOVEMBER 23, 2007.

You must attend ALL classes to qualify for certification.

Classroom
Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 - 8:30am to 2:30pm
Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 - 8:30am to 12:30pm

*Child should bring their own bag lunch each day

Outdoor Practical
Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 - 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Times for outdoor practical exam will be assigned during class on December 8. Students will be given a one-hour time slot between 1:00pm and 4:00pm for the practical exam.

Location Classroom
Classroom courses are instructed at the Rogers Community Center located at 21202 Memorial Dr (just off Main Street by the RR tracks in Rogers)

Location Practical (over the snow)
Over the snow test will also be at
Rogers Community Center located at 21202 Memorial Dr (just off Main Street by the RR tracks in Rogers).  This is different than last year.  Practical exam happens regardless of snow conditions.

Cost

$10 per Student
Check/Money Order payable to: Northwest Trails Assoc

Age Requirement
Students must be 11 years old by December 1, 2007 in order to enroll in the course (no exceptions per law).

Registration
There are 75 seats open for this course. Applications are taken until all seats are filled; we typically receive 100+ applications so register early to guarantee a seat.

  1. Complete and sign the application/parental release form and mail it to:

  2. Your fee must accompany the registration form in order to be considered registered.

  3. You must also enclose a legal sized (#10) self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of your certificate upon completion of the course.

  4. We do not confirm your registration; we will only notify you if the course is filled and your fee will be returned.

Contact the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for additional class dates and for snowmobiling regulations.
