Below is information
for the Maple Plain Snomads club youth snowmobile
safety training class session for 2021-2022
ALL MINNESOTANS BORN AFTER DEC. 31, 1976, MUST HAVE A
SAFETY CERTIFICATE TO OPERATE A SNOWMOBILE IN THE
STATE!
If you have a driver’s license this
certification will be indicated on your license.
Nonresidents certified in snowmobile safety training in
another state or Canada will be recognized in Minnesota.

Classroom & Outdoor Practical
Date: Sunday, December 5
Time: 8:30am until approximately 3-4:00 pm
*We encourage parents to stay for registration and
introduction, or for the entire session.*

Agenda
- Arrive by 8:00am PLEASE.
- 8:00-8:30am registration.
- 8:30-12 noon classroom education.
- 12noon-ish lunch/snack.
- 12:30-1:30 classroom testing.
- 1-3:30ish Snowmobile Pre-Trip Test & Driving
Test.
Supplies Needed
- STUDENT MUST BRING
PROOF OF AGE TO THE CLASS. Birth certificate OK.
We just need to see it.
- Warm clothing and a helmet.
- Snacks and/or water bottle.
- Pencil or pen.
Fees
$15 - Must be paid and sent in ahead of class with
registration form. DO NOT PAY FOR
THE DNR ONLINE COURSE ON YOUR OWN. The $15 covers the online course ($10)
and our training class ($5)!! After we receive
your $15 registration payment Maple Plain Snomads will
email you a link and a code to get online for the
course. FYI: The online course costs $30 if you buy it
on your own and you would still have to pay $5 to attend
the class on Dec. 3rd.
Age Requirement
Students should be 12 years old by March 31 of next
year in order to enroll in the course.
